A tiny village hidden deep in the valley just beside Rainbow Mountain. Our tour group was stuck here for hours in the cold as our guide went for help. A mudslide had washed away the only road off of the mountain.

One of the hardest things I’ve ever done was hike three hours in the snow and mud up Rainbow Mountain. Local men and women would speed past me wearing open toe sandals as blood dripped from their feet to guide tourists up the mountain who otherwise couldn’t make it, just to run back down for another rider.

The first photographic procedure was developed in 1839, when Louis Daguerre perfected the technique of Joseph Nicéphore Niépce and disseminated it worldwide in Paris, at the French Academy of Sciences. This procedure was based on the invention of the daguerreotype, which consists in obtaining an image on a polished silver surface. On August 19 it was chosen as the World Day of Photography because that same day, in 1839, the daguerreotype was established as the first practice of the photographic process and the French government announced that photography had been invented in the city of Paris

I was in Cusco, Peru and saw a statue of Christ illuminated in the night sky. The very next morning I asked a local where I could find the statue that they called Cristo Blanco. After a short taxi ride, I walked to the open arms of the statue that overlooked the city. What a beautiful sight.

Arriving at Cusco, there is a mountain called Winicunca, it is under 5000 MSNM, with much effort we reached the top but could not get off this mountain without capturing the beautiful landscapes that this place gives us.
